    daily dose of chocolate

    I’ve been buying so many of these that I’ve earned a cookie card. There should also be a grilled pita bread card.

    Elsewhere: lots and lots of interviews at craft synergy, one-a-day cut paper illustrations, and Margarida Botelho’s absolutely delightful Os Lugares De Maria. I think I’m going to pick up the paperback copy of David Mitchell’s Black Swan Green.

    some sun would be nice

    Not quite April showers, but overcast so I can’t take warm glowing pictures with my new camera. I’m a novice when it comes to picture-taking, so please bear with me while I blunder through my first few days of this!

    Besides making books, I’ve got a few new things floating around in my head, and here’s one: I need to think of a way to make a huge (think: wall-sized) piece of plexi-glass stand upright for an art installation proposal.

    the old and the new

    When you look through a boxful of old pictures, you always find new ones that you didn’t notice at the time. The husband spent the afternoon doing that.

    On an unrelated note, have you heard about the circus elephants being marched through the Midtown Tunnel to Madison Square Garden? Apparently, that’s the only way to get the elephants off the trains and into the city. Perhaps the circus should save itself the trouble of bringing in all these animals and just enlist the singing and dancing humans who voluntarily want to perform there.
