a number of pages
I have a question for you, dear readers and owners of Five and a Half journals:
Would you prefer a journal with 75 pages (like the current ones) or 100 pages?
I’m trying to decide whether we should make thicker journals, so that they’ll each be filled with 100 pages instead of the current 75. But I keep going back and forth on this. 75 pages means a slimmer journal, lighter to tote around, quicker to finish (which is both good and bad), while 100 pages feels more substantial, takes up more room, and is quite a bit heavier.
I think your answers will help me make up my mind. If you’d rather not answer in the comments section, you can write to us(at)fiveandahalf(dot)net.
Thank you so much, your suggestions and comments would be so helpful in making this decision!

Actually, I can see both as an advantage- the 75 page journal for carrying with, and the 100 page journal as a stay-at-home item. Or a stay-at-work item.
Okay this will not help, or maybe it will, I would like the 100 page journal because I would always use it at my desk but my husband likes (loves!) the 75 page, the current size.
100 page journal please.
75 pages.
i take mine with me everywhere and i like the slim profile.
I like the 75 pages. I wonder if 100 pages would interfere with the harmonious proportions of the journals.
Also, you’re having so much success with the journals as they are now, it might be risky to change unless you’re getting a lot of people wanting something different. As they say in NH, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
Hi!
Just browsing here, waiting (im-)patiently until it’s January 20th and I can order a couple of your books…
Would it be possible to make them both?
I know I’m always going back and forth between smaller, lighter notebooks and more substantial (and heavier ones) that feel like I can really ‘live’ in them for a while.
i prefer 75. finishing a journal is a nice accomplishment, plus toting around a slimmer journal means more space in my bag, plus less chance of bent corners.
